NCS Surfboards - Soft Stand Up Paddleboards
NCS Surfboards supply Soft Stand Up Paddleboards utilising the same successful construction techniques and materials as our softboard range.
Please note that these boards are supplied on a pre-order only basis.
As well as being used as SUPs, two charities, Surf Relief UK and Surf 2 Heal in Ireland have successfully used the boards to provide surf instruction to autistic and handicapped children.
The boards are big enough to provide instruction using tandem surfing with the instructor and the student both on the board. As SUPs the boards can give a surf school a valuable alternative for customers on those flat summer days or they can also be used to take customers paddling on inland waters when ocean conditions prove prohibitive.
These boards are available in two sizes as follows:
- 10' x 28 3/8" x 3 7/8"
- 11' x 30" x 3 7/8”
The boards use the same construction as our successful range of softboards and will benefit from the same improvements for 2011.
These improvements include:
- Heat Laminated HDPE slick bottoms. HDPE provides a much more durable slick bottom and boards with the HDPE have been successfully tested in Australia over the last 12 months.
- 4 x Maple stringers
- Rescue board style handles secured using stainless machine screws and threaded inserts.
